A cold front will approach this morning, with a few showers or sprinkles possible, especially between 8:00AM and 10:30AM. Unfortunately, anything that falls will not amount to much. Behind the front the humidity will rapidly drop, but temperatures will remain very warm during the day. By early afternoon, expect highs approaching 80 degrees with low relative humidity and gusty westerly winds. This is a very concerning setup for more brush fires to rapidly spread if ignition occurs. Winds will gust 30 mph to possibly even 40 mph through the afternoon. Here is a look at the HRRR temperatures and near-surface winds this afternoon.
Per local emergency management and fire departments, no open burning is allowed and the public is urged to call 911 for any instances of illegal burning.
