CONNECTICUT WEATHER’S LATEST FORECAST DISCUSSION

May 3, 2024                    8:00 AM

Decent weather Friday and Saturday with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the 60s. An easterly component to the wind will keep temperatures cooler and closer to seasonal averages. Clouds increase some on Saturday as showers arrive to our West. Right now thinking we stay dry though through Saturday evening and perhaps even Sunday morning as high pressure blocks to our Northeast any activity from advancing too quickly into the forecast region.

The next chance for significant precipitation comes on Sunday as a frontal system traverses the area. The trend on the mid range models has been slower with the forming on Sunday, but periods of rain still appear likely midday Sunday through Sunday night. Skies clear once again for the start of the next work week with temperatures generally hovering in the upper 60s to low 70s range. An unsettled albeit warm stretch begins by the middle of next week, with shower chances in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday.
